Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has conceded he was “stunned” by his modest positioning in last year’s Ballon d’Or awards.

In November, Lionel Messi handled his record-breaking seventh Ballon d’Or title by scooping the 2021 honor – barely pipping Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to the title in the democratic. Salah – who had partaken in a fine private year – was recorded in seventh spot in the rankings.
