All unregistered sim cards will be blocked by the end of October – Communications Ministry

The Ministry of Communications and Digitalization has served notice that all unregistered sim cards will be impeded for all time toward the end of October.

As per the Ministry, the non-blockage of those SIM Cards right now doesn’t add up to an expansion of the September cutoff time.

In a proclamation replicated to the media, the Ministry said the people who haven’t enlisted their sims are cheating the grave.

“All SIM Cards that have been connected to Ghana Cards (for example finished Stage 1 enrollment), yet have not finished their Stage 2 enlistment will be obstructed from the finish of October.

“This isn’t an expansion of the cutoff time, yet a brief ban to urge these people to finish the cycle. Assuming they have any impossible to miss difficulties, they ought to contact the NCA.

“These great individuals have the Ghana card, have begun the interaction, and will be urged to finish it with this delicate update. Any remaining unregistered SIMs will likewise be hindered logically,” the assertion said.

As per the assertion, these Cards are more than 28 million.

“28,959,006 SIM Cards have been connected to Ghana Cards (Stage 1 enlistment); addressing 67.28% of the 42,749,662 complete SIM cards gave broadly.”

In the interim, around 18 million SIM Cards have been totally enrolled. These SIM Cards have gone through a two-stage process.

This adds up to 44.28% of dynamic SIM Cards in the country right now.
